Scott is a Sony FX9 owner and operator, based in Glasgow, Scotland.
I’m Scott, a Glasgow-based freelance camera operator, lighting camera operator, vision mixer and editor, working across broadcast, live events, branded content and documentaries throughout the UK and beyond.
Most of the work I do involves fast-moving environments where preparation, communication and staying calm under pressure matter just as much as the technical side of production. Whether it’s a live event, a branded campaign or a multi-camera broadcast setup, I enjoy being part of productions where everyone works together to keep things running smoothly.
I’ve been working in television and live production for more than ten years. No two weeks are ever really the same, which is probably one of the reasons I still enjoy the job as much as I do.
Over the years I’ve worked on productions for broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4, alongside branded and commercial projects for companies such as NatWest, Getty Images, IMG and NHS Scotland. My work has taken me across the UK and internationally, covering events including General Elections, the Paralympics and large-scale live entertainment productions. I’ve also worked on programmes including Great British Menu.
I regularly work with PTZ cameras, wireless camera systems and live vision mixing, and I’m also a Sony FX9 owner/operator with equipment built around flexible and reliable production workflows.
More than anything, I enjoy working with good people and keeping productions straightforward. I like working on projects where teams communicate well, adapt quickly and focus on getting the job done properly without overcomplicating things.
If you think I could help with an upcoming project, feel free to get in touch.
