My Chemical Romance at the OVO Hydro

Live, in-person events have been making a welcome comeback in recent months. But it only really hit home from me this week when I was stood in the pit operating cameras at a packed out OVO Hydro for My Chemical Romance.

Great to see live music well and truly back!

COP26 Climate Summit

Today marks the final day of COP26, the Climate Summit being held in Glasgow. The city hosted over 30,000 delegates from 180 countries and over 100 world leaders.

Over the last two weeks I have been providing cameras and crewing to productions throughout Glasgow. Filming live streams, hybrid events and webinars inside and out of the ‘Blue Zone’, vision mixing, operating remote PTZ cameras and covering climate protests for domestic and international broadcasters, as well as supplying additional equipment to production companies and AV suppliers throughout the city.

BBC One Show

Did anyone spot my cameo on The One Show on BBC One last week?

It was working with Mallard Productions and BBC Productions on this One Big Thank You feature for Barry in Paisley, who has done so much to support his local community.

From collecting shopping to cleaning up the local park and raising funds for local food banks, it was great to surprise Barry and give him the recognition he deserves.

TEDx Glasgow

It’s great to see in-person events starting back up again, and it was even better to tick this one off my bucket list - providing the Sony PMW-400 with a telephoto lens and crew last week at TEDx Glasgow for Cameron at the Engine Works.

Scottish Election for Getty Images

A few frame grabs from my filming across Glasgow this week for Getty Images, covering the 2021 Scottish Election campaign, including coverage of polling day and Scottish Labour Leader, Anas Sarwar.

NatWest - New Now Campaign

I was commissioned by NatWest to capture the stories of businesses throughout the UK who were finding success during the Coronavirus pandemic. Whether it’s creating products to help fight coronavirus, or pivoting to serve their customers and communities in a different way, there are success stories to be found across the UK.

We travelled the country producing a wide range of video content for NatWest’s social channels and online Business Hub. From The Calabash Tree in the North East, to Passion for Pie in the South West and WOW Saddles in the South East

Scottish Cup Coverage

Providing single camera coverage of Round 1 of the William Hill Scottish Cup for QTV Sports and the Scottish FA from Edinburgh.

Mànran Live Stream

I recently worked with Todd Weller Films providing equipment and crewing for the live stream of Mànran’s 10 Year Anniversary concert, broadcast live from the Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow to an international audience.

The events and music industries have been so hard hit in recent months, and it was a pleasure to see that it is possible to pull off a great live performance like this.

NHS PPE Delivery

Like many others, I lost 100% of my bookings with the introduction of lockdown measures during the Coronavirus Pandemic. I was delighted to have my first job in a number of weeks yesterday, where I found myself on the tarmac at Prestwick Airport with NHS National Services Scotland.

Ten million items of PPE, as well as testing kits and ICU equipment landed in Scotland at 4am and will distributed to NHS and care workers throughout Scotland.

The footage has been picked up by broadcasters and news organisations around the country - including the BBC, STV, Channel 4, Sky and LADbible!

Tyl by NatWest Demo Videos

I was recently once again working with the team at Tyl by NatWest, producing a series of instructional videos for their Clover Flex POS terminal. Eight colourful demos were filmed at Green Lens Studios in North London using the Sony FS7 on specially created overhead rig.
